At Balfour Swimming School, is a small, friendly swimming school with a big commitment to helping children become confident, capable swimmers. For over 18 years, we have supported children in the Balfour community, offering patient, structured teaching that helps every child progress at their own pace.

We believe swimming is a life‑saving skill, especially living so close to the sea. That’s why our lessons are designed to be low cost, accessible, and welcoming for families. We focus on creating a happy, friendly atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and proud of their achievements.

At Balfour Swimming School, your child is taught by a small, dedicated team of highly trained swimming teachers. Every member of our team is fully qualified, experienced, and committed to creating a safe, supportive learning environment for all children.

All our teachers hold:

Swim England Teaching Qualifications — nationally recognised training that ensures high‑quality, consistent instruction.
STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming — a respected qualification focused on safe, effective teaching for children of all abilities.
Up‑to‑date Safeguarding Training — ensuring children are always protected, respected, and supported.
Enhanced DBS Checks — giving families complete peace of mind.
Water Safety Training — equipping teachers with essential skills to keep children safe in and around the water.

Years of experience teaching children of all abilities
Specialist training in supporting nervous or beginner swimmers
Advanced coaching experience for Pre‑Squad and Squad swimmers
