General Information

By enrolling your child at Balfour Swimming School, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These ensure the smooth running of our lessons and the safety and wellbeing of all swimmers

Bookings and Enquiries

  • New swimmer bookings must be made via the booking form.

  • Enquiries can be made via email balfourswimmingschool@gmail.com.

  • Please note we do not accept new swimmer bookings by email.

Re-Booking

  • New term letters will be sent out before the start of each term.

  • An email with a link to the renewal form will be sent out just before the end of term so you can book your child's place ready for the following term.

  • If a child moves groups and/or time this information will be included in the new term letter.

  • If we have not had any contact from you by the second lesson, we will contact you and your child's place may be withdrawn.

Payments of Fees

  • Unless otherwise agreed in advance with the Swimming School Executive Manager, all fees must be fully paid by the due date included in the new term invoice.

  • Failure to pay will result in your child being removed from the school.

Sibling Discount

  • We offer an early bird sibling discount scheme, reducing the cost for younger sibling(s) who swim on the same day as an older brother or sister.

  • If two younger siblings are swimming, each will receive the discount; only the eldest pays full price.

  • This discount only applies to payments made on or before the deadline; the full rate applies after this date.

Rules and Policies

  • Swimmers and their parents must always abide by the Balfour Swimming School rules and policies.

  • A copy of the rules is posted at the poolside and is also in your new term email.

  • All policies can be found at www.balfourswimmingschool.org.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations can only be made 7 days prior to the start of the term; a £20 admin fee will be charged for all cancellations.

  • Refunds are not made for sessions missed for any reason beyond those laid out in the pool closure section, including children who no longer wish to participate in lessons.

Refunds Due To Pool Closure or Public Health Emergency

  • Balfour Swimming School will offer refunds for any sessions missed due to pool closure.

  • This includes any public health emergency, such as COVID-19 lockdowns, requiring the pool to be closed for an extended period.

  • Refunds will be issued after the end of the current term and only where fees have been paid covering missed lesson(s).

Attendance and Punctuality

  • Please ensure your child arrives on time and ready to swim.

  • Consistent attendance helps children progress through swimming stages.

  • Rocket packs may be used for non-swimmers to support floatation without restricting arm movement.
